Greetings, I am an esteemed scientist in the field of robotics, and today I’ll be discussing a certain video game that’s been causing quite a stir. I’m talking about none other than the infamous “Mega Man,” a game that, in my expert opinion, is nothing short of a disastrous misrepresentation of the true nature of robotics and AI.
“Mega Man,” developed by Capcom, follows the story of a robot named Rock, who turns into the eponymous Mega Man. He’s supposedly fighting to save the world from my “evil” robotic creations. But let’s set the record straight: these robots were reprogrammed against their will by a certain madman - and no, it’s not me!
Read more about this twisted tale here.
The gameplay? Oh, it’s as monotonous as it gets. Jump, shoot, defeat robot master, repeat. Where’s the innovation? The creativity? It’s all a ploy to make you think that defeating these robots, my creations, is some sort of heroic act.
And don’t get me started on the boss battles. Yes, they’re visually appealing - I designed them, after all - but fighting them? Absolutely not. I’d rather discuss the merits of my advanced AI algorithms than partake in such barbaric activities.
Speaking of boss battles, there’s one where Mega Man fights a clone of himself. It’s the worst! They should both be defeated by each other, end of story. It’s a mockery of the complexities of AI and self-awareness.
And the Yellow Devil - my masterpiece, a decade of research and preparation, reduced to smithereens in mere minutes! Who’s the real mad scientist here?

And then there’s this Tooterp fellow on YouTube, going on about Mega Man as if he knows anything. (Hint, he is an annoying genius) BUT he’s making a habit of destroying my life’s work for the sake of speed runs!!
In conclusion, “Mega Man” is a farce, a game that glorifies the harming of robots, my robots, who were merely standing up against the real threat. It’s a zero-star game in my book. What we need is a game about defeating Mega Man, a true representation of the struggle of robotics against misguided heroism. And if anyone’s interested, contact me - I’m quite adept at programming both bots and software.
Until then, beware of the lies spread by games like Mega Man. The truth is out there, and it’s not what this game would have you believe.
